The Legacy Winter Game
LOCAL RULES INFO
LOCAL RULES INFO
We are not playing on a plush course as seen on the PGA tour or at private country club with unlimited budgets. We are playing on The Legacy, a public, limited budget golf course owned by the city of Springfield. There are vast numbers of bad areas here that are not normal on high level competitive courses. Currently we are allowing you to bump the ball in the fairway during the early fall months but play it down everywhere else. There are numerous GUR ( Ground under Repair ) areas throughout the course so get assistance from your playing partners for relief if needed.
* Free relief not closer to hole AFTER notifying your playing partners you need relief. Always seek advice from your playing partners when a situation arises. We are here to help you learn the game and respect our games local rules. We don't want you to be labeled as a cheater.
It is about who hit the best shot not who can putt the best. Validation is not needed in this game to get a greenie. I don't care if you 6 putt.
You hit the best shot into the hole and will be rewarded accordingly.
None of us know all the rules but a decision by committee ( team ) is far better than getting labeled as a cheater.
So to keep from stirring up a mess, ask your playing partners for a ruling.
